Willpower runs out at the worst moment. PureLock blocks adult content on your whole device, and you can't switch it off on impulse.

No switch to flip at 1 a.m.

Most blockers come off with a passcode you already know. PureLock can only be removed with a code you never see.

Asking for that code starts a countdown you chose yourself, from 72 hours up to a year. The urge passes long before the countdown ends. You can cancel it with one tap.

How it works

Protected in about 20 minutes.

1. Sign in

Use the account you already have for the Kitchener Baptist website or the KBC Connect app, or make one.

2. Lock your device

Choose your waiting period. A short guided setup on a Mac installs the lock on your iPhone or iPad.

3. Live free

Nothing to resist and nothing to bargain with. Spend that energy on the people and the life you want.

Closes the loopholes

Blocking a few websites isn't enough. PureLock covers the ways around it too.

Every app, every browser

Apple's adult filter and a filtered DNS cover Safari, Chrome, and the browsers built into other apps.

SafeSearch forced on

Google, Bing and YouTube stay in safe mode, so image search is clean too.

No VPNs

New VPNs and iCloud Private Relay are switched off, so nothing tunnels around the filter.

Private browsing too

The filter works the same in private tabs. There is no incognito way round it.

Your own list

Add any other site that trips you up, like Reddit or X, and it is blocked with everything else.

No erase-and-escape

Erasing the phone from Settings is switched off while the lock is on.

Someone in your corner

Choose an accountability partner: a friend, your pastor, your spouse. The moment you ask to unlock a device, they get an email, while there's still time to call.

They never see your browsing. They hear from us only when you ask to unlock, cancel, or reach the end of your countdown.

Got questions?

Does setting it up erase my iPhone?

Yes, once. The lock needs your iPhone in Apple's "supervised" mode, which is set with the free Apple Configurator app on a Mac and erases the phone. You back up to iCloud first and restore during setup, so your apps, photos and messages come back.

Can anyone see what I browse?

No. PureLock never sees your browsing, messages or photos. Blocking happens on your device and in the filtered DNS. Your partner gets an email only when the state of a lock changes.

What if I really need to remove it?

Ask for the removal code on your account page. When your waiting period ends, the code appears and you remove the profile in Settings. If you change your mind before then, cancel and the lock stays on.

Can I change my waiting period?

A longer period applies straight away. A shorter one takes effect only after your current waiting period has passed, so shortening it is never a quick way out.

Does it work on Android or Windows?

Not yet. iPhone, iPad and Mac come first. Android and Windows are next.

Is a filter enough on its own?

No filter changes a heart. PureLock takes away easy access and gives you time. Real freedom grows with honest friends, prayer, and the Word. That's why the partner is part of the design.

The hard moment is coming. Be ready for it.
